Whitney Thompson, a plus size model, has taken the crown of America's Next Top Model. Not only is Whitney the first plus size model to make it to the top three, but she is the first to win! Thompson is 20-years-old and is from Atlantic Beach, FL.According to an eonline article, Whitney said, "I want other women in America to feel good about themselves…It's amazing to be America's Next Top Model. This is exactly what I want. This is what I've always wanted!"
Whitney won cover and six-page spread in Seventeen magazine, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and representation from Elite Model Management.
Thompson beat out finalist Anya Kop for the title of America's Next Top Model. The two were neck and neck in the final episode, but in the end, "it was Thompson, with her classic look, spunky personality and ability to take direction, who became 'the first girl with some booty' to win the competition."
