DU Manille has revealed an all-original collection entitled Insects&Bones S/S 2012 last August 30, 2011.

For its first collection, DU Manille wants to pay tribute to fearless individuals who are self-confident, and who are not afraid to strip themselves to the bone. So why is it called Insects&Bones?

‘Bones’ is one half of the ‘Insects & Bones’ theme, which stands for the act of expressing one-self without fear of judgment. ‘Insects’ on the other hand, is a standing metaphor for fear and disgust—the default reaction to those who dared to challenge conventions and norms. Together, the two merges the two significant points that represent the people that DU Manille typifies.

With revealing cuts and silhouettes that flatter the body, this collection underlines and accentuates the audacity of any wearer’s character, adding to it some edge. DU Manille launches a collection composed of various white tops with minimal prints, as well as black tops with an assortment of cutouts, which all aptly coincides with the label’s design aesthetics.

This is very Margielic. The interesting humor applied on pure and structured pieces was inspired by electromagnetism and static cling. "Static cling is the tendency for light objects to stick (cling) to other objects owing to static electricity. It is common in clothing, but occurs with other items, such as the tendency of dust to be attracted to, and stick to, plastic items."

OXYGEN SPRING/SUMMER 2011 CAMPAIGN PRESS RELEASE:

Oxygen is a brand known for its distinct approach to style and design. They go by the latest fashion trends, but always spices up their clothes with a little flavor and twist. This season, Oxygen has something up its sleeve again.

Summer is all about the usual nautical, floral, and bohemian looks. Oxygen's Spring-Summer Campaign, "New Hippies: The Art of Doing Absolutely Nothing," shows off a fresh summer aesthetic - cropped, sheer, altered pieces, plus photographic shirts in 100% cotton, but still keeping that "devil-may-care" attitude everyone loves about the summer season.

This campaign is all about chilling out and looking good effortlessly. Master the Art of Doing Nothing by donning new cuts and clean lines, just like how a New Hippie would.

Artefact 2010 Collection

My heart and my brain are exalting like fireworks right now as i embed on my blog the html codes of the photos i snagged from www.eglecekanaviciute.com , the designer of the brand ARTEFACT. Actually ,ive seen this from dirtyflaws' blog months before but being a sufferer from mild to moderate amnesia, i neglected the act of telling the world how much i die for these pieces! But today i present you , though its long overdue, the lookbook/ editorial / sketches of ARTEFACT. Others would sell scrotum just to have the blazers and those yellow dresses from Lanvin x H&M collection but i'm a cray cray and things that fascinates me are strangely different . It would rather reveal how loopy i could be to an extent but that's the path i took.

I love the exaggerated deconstructed dresses and cover ups. e.g Blazer turned into a skirt . i love her way of manipulating the clothes. e.g. cropping , draping , crazyand rebellious tailoring

I need the legbrace and the plastic shoulder piece right now. I work in the hospital and i know how much those shiny molded plastics cost.. I am quite aware that i enjoy incorporating hospital stuff in my wardrobe. remember the gauze that i made as a belt? real blood as a paint?

Who would think of it as a wearable item? an accessory? and why not! As expected there'll be violent reactors who would claim that this is an act taunting the orthopedic patients.. i think not ...ever!
