4 Things I bought this weekend...

Hello everyone! Welcome back...! Sorry I didn't get a chance to post the normal 'My Weekend' post, but I got crazy busy & then decided to go bowling and so on.

Over the weekend, I was thinking of ways to SPICE up my wardrobe with some interesting items, so I bought 4 NEW things...well, the jeans not yet but I'll explain that below.

(1) The Elements of Personal Style - I've REALLY been obsessed with fashion blogs lately (as you can see from my posts lately)...so I thought it would only be appropriate to buy a book about personal style! This particular one was recommended to me by a friend & I can't wait for it to arrive!

(2) JCrew Leopard iPhone Case- After seeing this case on Brooklyn Blonde's blog- I had to have it! The picture featured in this post with the pretty blue nails is of Helena's hand (Brooklyn Blonde) & her blog is now one of my fave fashion blogs! This case is super chic & affordable at only $22.50!!

(3) The Chelsea Red Skinny Jean by Joe's Jeans - Ok, this one is the ONLY one I didn't get yet. I've looked up & down & all around the net for some super cute (LONG) red skinny jeans. I don't like Capri, & for some reason most of the ones I've come across have been Capri...what the?!? Well, Joe's has this one, and it's exactly what I was looking for - I hope! We shall see if I make the purchase.

(4) Essie polish Color 'Vermillionaire'- This was an easy purchase. I like the color orange as polish and maybe even on a clutch...but that's pretty much it..... I think!!  I can't see myself wearing orange pants, but RED, yea....weird huh?? Anyhow, this color is currently on my toes & nails, and I love it! It's bright and looks awesome if you have a tan.

Beauty: Dove Grey Nails

Just when you thought Dove grey nails are so over,
you're wrong!

According to our Style Damsel, the whiter shade of gunmetal lacquer from 2007, continues to be the "IT" color to be spotted over your keratin!

It all started when successful Indian brand, OPI, unveiled "Moon over Mumbai" for their Spring 2008 palette.

Before you squirm over the thought of having that dull, boring, eeeky-looking hue over your well-maintained (we hope) nails, we thought you should take a look at this:

Isn't the unstated grey a perfect mix of class and style?

Even celebrity style mistress, Gwen Stefani, is rumoured to be in love with Barry M's Matte grey nail polish!

If you are unsure if this hue suits your skin tone, you might want to try using OPI's online studio to "test on" these lacquer (You can find Moon Over Mumbai under their "India" collection):

So remember to update your lacquer and have tonnes of fun!
