There goes Rick Owens, Ann Dem and the dak armies ... but Gareth Pugh is consistently my favorite since day 01. The mosaic detailing has gone haywire and severe.. Just when you thought that buttons, studs and zipper are the perfect details one can embellish on an article but no.. the mosaic effect is pure wam bam to me! and i see blue... Perfect. i'll be trying out blue real soon..

First Time Ever: Plus Size apparel hits the red carpet Fashion Show
Fashion Week is all the buzz here on Fashion Avenue in NYC, but yesterday a different kind of buzz emerged in the plus size industry. For the first time in over 57 years of fashion shows, our sister brand- OneStopPlus.com produced the first ever, Plus-Size Fashion Show at the Lincoln Center! A ground-breaking event felt all over the media as it marked the beginning of plus size women being slowly, but surely recognized by the fashion moguls as true models of our time. All the work and effort that went into planning such a monumental event surely paid off as the rewards are just beginning to be reaped.

Our talented designers, Zahir Babvani and Galina Monaco did an amazing job with the collection that included a resounding theme of soft, dreamy looks with a touch of shine.
It also included a celebrity guest to the likes of “High School Musical’s” KayCee Stroh, “Hairspray’s” Nikki Blonsky, plus size icon Emme and Academy Award nominee for “Precious” Gabourey Sidibe who stated “…to be part of this historical moment is an honor.”

To find out more about the first plus-size fashion show, be sure to fan us on Facebook and see pictures, videos, interviews and so much more. All of us at Roaman’s are very excited about this new chapter in plus size clothing and look forward to many more advances!

Style Damsel - LA/ New York Fashion Week
So it was fashion week at SmashBox Studios and the Big Apple.
TV Celebrities and celebutantes are slowly making their way into SBS and Bryan park.
Just last week, we witnessed the first ever Lauren Conrad's collection - inspired by her recent trip to Paris -at the Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week. Her dresses are simple, and almost all ended off the same lengths. If you ask us, the collection lacks-lustre, an absolutely bore, and totally not worth your money.

Then we have the younger sister of the Hilton heiresses, Nicky Hilton. Who created a whole range of equestrian-meets-bondage co-ordinates that wasn't really the highlight of the day.
Yes, we all guessed it!
Sadly, everyone, even the media, had all their attention on her scandalous sister's new beau, Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. (and nothing on the runway)

Poor Nicky, even WE don't remember what her collection for Nicholai was all about.
Over at sixth avenue, Diane Von Furstenberg, Betsey Johnson, Matthew Williamson, Bill Blass, Aussie duo, Sass and bide, and Style Damsel's very favourite, Zac Posen, showed of their next season's collection in an explosion of colors and flowy silhouettes.
At NYFW, it also means, the new season's winner of the Project Runway was announced. Victoria Beckham was the guest judge, and it was a close battle between Jillian, Rami, and Christian.

But in the end, the 21 year old AIU, London graudate, Christian Siriano took home the coveted title and also US$10,000 for being the "fan's favourite".
We heard Posh Beckham had even asked him to design some outfits for her.
(Still, we love Rami Kashou for his expertise in his craft)

You can't really call yourself "international designer" with these. We are not sure if she got the white ones from grandma's curtains.

Stop living in your sister's shadow!
