Go Above

"DUMB FUCK"

Very much represented by a four-letter worded upward arrow, I've always enjoyed Above's art installations, stenciling and graffiti works. The ideology behind each creation appears to be very well-thought of and carefully executed.
I love how she seamlessly incorporates witty tag-lines into art pieces on bustling streets around the world, triggering the whole-being of any passer-bys.

Her latest creation, is an art installation titled, "The Naked Truth".

In her website, you will see explainations and videos about all her artworks.

"Giving to the poor" done in Lisbon, Portugal, is one of my favourite:

"WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS IN NEED?

EVERY DAY I WALKED BY THIS SPOT THIS HOMELESS LADY WAS
SITTING IN THE SAME PLACE BEGGING FOR MONEY.
I FOUND IT SADLY IRONIC THAT JUST 6 FEET TO THE SIDE OF HER THERE WAS
A BANK ATM MACHINE WHERE PEOPLE WERE LINING UP TO WITHDRAW MONEY.
THE OBVIOUS SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CLASH INSPIRED ME TO MAKE THIS PIECE."

"RI >>>CHPOOR
(STEALING FROM THE RICH AND GIVING TO THE POOR)

THE GOOD INTENTION EXCUSES THE BAD ACTION
-PORTUGUESE PROVERB"
