Nadia Shows Us Her Nursery...

I LOVE looking at nurseries. Even though I don't have any babies of my own, it's always nice to see how people decorate a NURSERY. I've never done it, but one thing I know is that nurseries are NOT what they used to be! I remember when women would choose a PINK room for a girl & a BLUE room for a boy - it was that simple. Nowadays, nursery decor has come a long way!

Moms-to-be are thinking OUT OF THE BOX for their newborn babies - they're deciding on unique color schemes, less Disney & more original artwork instead.

I've been blessed that my ABC customized kids print has been chosen as part of decor for so many kids rooms. In fact I'm definitely seeing A LOT more creativity when it comes to children's rooms & it's always nice to know that the children themselves may pick up on that.

In this post, I'm highlighting a little BOY'S nursery. It's by Nadia of House 36 blog and as you can see...... it's not your typical BLUE room. 

So, what do you think? Do you prefer creativity in a kids room over the same ol' same ol??




A great book that I'd recommend for inspiration is Rooms For Kids by Susanna Salk & Kelly Wearstler. AND...Thank you Nadia!!

Decorating A Frame...(Made by Girl)

I thought this was a pretty creative way to add some interest to a frame! A reader named Emily who writes over at Lucite + Lavender sent this pic to me!

Reader Displays my Art....(Via Made By Girl)

This has to be one of the coolest pictures I've seen using my LOVE Candy print. 

One of my reader's (Shalina) sent this photo of her home, where she now displays 9 LOVE prints!  Don't you just love the SUPER high ceilings, glass stair walls & HUGE skylight?? She also told us that her guests often compliment this display in her home! Very cool, thanks Shalina!

Vanilla Ice & Me....(Via Made By Girl)

Ok, well sort of.  This is probably the only time you'll see Vanilla ICE on my blog.  Well, maybe not....have you heard he is now renovating homes?  That's right.  I applaud him for changing careers & finding something he's really good at!  And yes, I STILL like Ice Ice Baby!

Sometimes WE think we're supposed to do one thing....when in reality we're MEANT to do another.

Either way, I'm featured in this month's The Boca Raton Observer, it's a well-known lifestyle magazine in Florida. The article is called, "Home-Spun ADVICE" - 5 Colorful Decor Blogs Feed your Inner Designer.  I'm interviewed & featured along with 5 other POPULAR bloggers.... I'm truly thankful for the opportunity! BTW, I'm on page 82 for those of you who can't get the mag in person & want to take a peek online!

This Deserves a Woo Hoo!... (Via Made By Girl)

Even after 4 1/2 yrs in business it STILL excites me to see my company, Made By Girl mentioned or featured in top notch magazines! I'm so thankful to God for these opportunities!  Sometimes the BEST PART is standing at the BOOK STORE & seeing my name or my work within the pages for all to see! 

I SWEAR,  I just want to tap the person next to me & say, "That's me!!!" - But I don't want to look like a CRAZY PERSON, so of course I don't do that.

Made By Girl Here & There....

Always great to see Made By Girl prints designs displayed in homes all over the world! The Love Candy DESIGN below is actually a CUSTOM 24x36 CANVAS that was purchased by Julia of TysonandJulia blog. 

This is such a great size for a larger wall space... fills it up that much better don't you think?  We normally make 16x20 canvas sizes, but if you 're interested in a custom size like Julia's, then just email us the size & the color you'd like! Or you can play with the colors here.

This gorgeous dining area is from Janell's home over at Isabella & Max Rooms blog. I love the way she placed the 'I love you, blogs & coffee' print onto the chalkboard, clever!

Made By Girl Print on Nate Berkus Show...

It's so wild to see my love print on TV for the first time....and on the Nate Berkus show no less! Even though I didn't VENTURE out to NYC for the INFAMOUS blogger Nate Day event, I am grateful to have my product featured on his show! 

Made By Girl was featured in the Hottest Trends of 2011 segment. You can WATCH the video here. 


It's actually WEIRD because my print has been featured on so many blogs & is just now brought to mainstream. But that's usually how it works, we bloggers usually discover all the interesting trends first! Thanks to Nate Berkus & Michelle Adams (whom I love!).

I love opening a magazine and seeing my designs/work within the pages!
I've been fortunate enough to have appeared in Real Living Australia (one of the best interior magazines out there) a few times now & it's ALWAYS exciting, every single time! I am always so grateful, thank you Real Living.
