My Foyer at Night!.....(Via Made by Girl)
Some of you had emailed me asking me what my foyer looked like at night (with the lights turned on), so here it is! You can now see the DIY lamp I made hanging from the ceiling & the lamp from Home Goods on the console table.
NEW at Modern Chic Home.... (Via Made by Girl)
Hope you all had a great weekend! As for me, I visited a few friends who were in town as well as had a few lovely desserts like chocolate strawberries and tiramisu (another one of my favorites!) I love when friends are in town, if gives me an excuse to dress up real fancy & eat at great restaurants on the strip.
Speaking of SHOPPING....The holidays are AROUND THE CORENER & we'll all be wondering what we're going to buy for our friends & family right?!? I'm already putting MY X'MAS LIST together and will even get a gift for myself! For those of you who love to decorate, Modern Chic Home has got some new items in their shop & they are PUUURRRTYYY!

My absolute favorites are the Twig Wrapped Porcelain Bowl (I can see this on my kitchen island or in my dining area) & the Angel Wing Box! Go check out Modern Chic Home and pick out a few Holiday gifts for your friends & family!

Visit Nordisk Eksotisk...Book Review (Via Made By Girl)
Authors, Iben & Niels Ahlberg sent this gorgeous & inspiring book to me from Denmark! I knew you all would LOVE it... so I'd like to share some images with you!
VISIT Nordisk Eksotisk is the first title in the Visit Series about Scandinavian Interiors. There will be another title published at the end of November as well (can't wait!) The 'Visit' book is in Danish but it ALSO includes an insert with English text, which is convenient since I DON'T speak Danish!! I've already started reading mine....it explains all the pages and what you're seeing in detail!

The book showcases their own home as well as a few others. I'm already feeling INSPIRED flipping through all the pages. I love the touches of solid black furniture & lighting you see throughout, especially up against the stark white walls.
I'm so ENAMORED with this book & is now one of my favorites. It has 163 pages of cull-color and definitely worth a look! For more on this book, you can also read my previous post here.
If you're interested in PURCHASING a copy of the book click here.

Julie's Home Tour.....(Via Made By Girl)
This Monday I bring to you another home TOUR that's sure to inspire you! This particular home belongs to Julie of Milk & Honey Home Blog. Julie is also a contributor at Rue Magazine and she just so happens to own the Atoll MIRROR from Ballard Designs that I've been (thinking about for so long) and haven't purchased!! Ugh, what am I waiting for?!?!?!?!?
I found her home to be very COZY looking, with a VINTAGE feel and a few modern touches! Let Julie know what you liked best about her home and if it's inspired you!

A Living Room By ZGallerie... (Via Made By Girl)
If I had to pick an entire living room from ZGallerie this is what it would look like. The Planters buffet is one of my favorite pieces, it's even better looking in person & pretty darn BIG as well! Have you see in it at ZGallerie yet?!? For some of you, my picks may be lacking in color, I know. But, I was going for a fresh, clean mostly white look.
In REAL life, I don't OWN any of these pieces but I'm tempted to get the twig lamps and the planters buffet. Many times I wish I could just BUY EVERYTHING all at once, know what I mean?? But that's wishful thinking for most of us & would probably run me thousands of DOLLARS!!
So, I'll just follow the advice my mother gave me when I first moved out....she said, "don't worry, little by little you will put together a home".

FLOR for my closet?... (Via Made By Girl)
I may be moving soon & with moving comes NEW PROJECTS! One of those projects will be my (BIG) closet. At this moment, I'm REALLY considering carpet tiles by FLOR.
For those of you who don't know about FLOR, they make design-inspired carpet squares that come in an array of vivid colors & and modern styles that coordinate together to create custom designs. They're basically SQUARES that ASSEMBLE together super easy....NO nails, No Padding or glue! YES, they're removable, YES, they are washable & YES, they are replaceable! So to me, the idea of having FLOR carpet tiles in my closet is definitely something I'd like to consider.
What do you think about these in a closet?? Have you used FLOR in your home? What has your experience been like so far?
In this post, you'll find a few of my FLOR FAVORITES, but I'm REALLY leaning toward the Martha Stewart Serengeti tiles.

FLOR also has a new blog, check it out here.
