How to get what you want for the Holidays - With out buying it yourself!

So we have all experienced this frustration with the men in our lives: They are terrible at picking out gifts. Not just for us, but all the women in their families too! If you are like us you gave up a long time ago and just let him sign the card for whatever you bought. Bottom line, it's nice to get something you want that you didn't have to buy and wrap yourself! So here's what we recommend.

Make a detailed list. Include :
Item - give the full and entire name. If it is a Plus Size crochet striped babydoll sweater make sure to include all of those words. Men don't think like we do so if you said Plus Size striped babydoll sweater they might come across the one you want and think it's wrong because it says crochet.

Size - no matter how long you have lived together, how many things he has bought you or how many times you have told him, in the moment of purchase he will go completely blank. Throw him a bone and tell him.

Color - make sure to use the color name listed in the catalog or on the website. Don't just say purple if the color listed is soft violet - he won't get it.

Location - If it's a website send him an e-mail with a link to the page the item is on, not just the home page. Make it idiot proof. If it is in a catalog mark the page with a post-it and be sure to include all of the necessary info that you have on your list. Heaven forbid he loses the list, he still has the catalog with the post-it! If the item is in a store at the mall, tell him the name and the closest entrance in the mall.

It might be helpful to tell him if the item is on sale or going to be so he knows when he should buy. Make sure to include several options so he can choose what to give you. You want him to feel like he picked it out and is going to surprise you. And you will be surprised because you don't know what he is going to pick from your list! Win, win for everyone involved.
