I went ahead and made Burda's sundress from the May 2010 issue. I already had the cotton lawn in my stash (I bought it at the Curtain Factory Warehouse of all places.) It looked easy, and I thought I'd give it a go. It was easy, and it is easy to wear. I added 3 inches to the skirt length and wish I had added even a couple more! Sewn to the instructions, this would be very short, indeed.
My husband's verdict was that the bodice is nice, but the skirt is big and makes me look bigger than I really am. He may be right. However this is so comfortable in hot weather that I am sure to wear it a lot this summer anyway. I wouldn't sew it again though.
