Halloween Sewing

Winnie the Witch and her Cat Wilbur
Thank you everyone who commented on my high-waisted trousers.  I am still mulling over what sort of trousers (pants) will suit me.  The right sort of trousers must be the holy grail for many of us.

My only sewing has been this witch's outfit for my eldest.  We certainly could have bought a witch's costume from Tescos (large UK supermarket) for less than the materials from John Lewis (UK department store) cost us.  I don't think it looks much different or better either, but I was happy to make it because my dear daughter was pleased to bits.  It was *exactly* to her specification.  If our scanner worked, I could show you the picture she drew.  I really nailed it (self pat on the back!)
The aftermath...sugar high to follow.  AND it's a school night!
Going forward, I need to sew one daughter a Christmas dress and the other a skirt.  I'd like to sew myself a shearling gillet/vest.  Alas, finding shearling isn't that easy, nor that cheap.  If I do manage, you'll hear all about it!
