Am I seeing what I am seeing? More Céline Leather Cabas in different colours and even more snakeskin variants from Spring 2011? I am in bag ecstacy! Lovely lovely colours... Céline's Leather Cabas is indeed understated glamour and luxe. I can have one for every day!

And the small accessories are getting more interesting, especially the bi-material pouches being a must have.

I'd take the white and beige python Leather Cabas anyday! Anyone with me!??

Below: I still prefer Céline's version. Something about the proportion and the feel makes it more chic! The raw line and soft lamb skin is also an interesting mix of textures and materials. An all seasons bag for all occassions, luxe or casual:-) I am so in love with this!

Dior Homme Fall Winter 2011 vs. Céline Spring 2011

Battle of the bi-coloured tote bags... Céline's Leather Cabas has garnered a following of some of the most stylish women and men. Their bi-coloured/material version are some of the best undertstated luxe designs. When you know something is done right, others may seemingly follow. I spotted a 'close cousin' of this Céline's Spring 2011 Bi-material Cabas in Leather and Raw Linen (Kwannam from We Could Grow Up Together just got one! I am jealous cos' it's so fabulous!). This 'relative' is from Dior Homme.... straight off the runway of their Fall Winter 2011 collection. Grey and black, black handles, bi-material.... similarities abound.

Dolce & Gabbana Raw Canvas And Waxed Leather Cap Toe Derby Shoes

I may have been a fan of bags... but I am also an admirer and avid shopper for shoes:-)

For the first 2011 addition to my ever growing shoe family...(which I got during my New Year vacation in Bangkok)... something from Dolce & Gabbana. It's really a love at first sight. I forgo the chance to buy my Hermès Clic Clac H Bracelet in White and Gold for this. But I never regret my decision:-)

Meet my new shoe for new 2011, Dolce & Gabbana Cap Toe Derby Shoes in Raw Canvas and Waxed Leather. There is just something with mixing raw edged canvas with gloss waxed leather in Khaki and Beige tones that I cannot resist. I wore a pair of white shorts when I tried them at the Siam Paragon store... it was perfect for summer styles. Hence, I brought it all the way back from Bangkok to Singapore, a pair of shoes that travelled thousands of miles even before I started walking in them:-) The shopping gods have spoken... I was meant to have them. Especially when my Club 21 member's discount was applicable even in Thailand:-)

(Note: The shoes have a slightly long body, so I took half a size down to look proportionately to my ankle width so I can wear them with shorts)

Press Day Visit #03: Mulberry Edie

Here's more updates from my recent Mulberry Press Day showroom visit...

One more bag that deserves to be shared on my blog... meet the lovely Edie, the latest addtion to Mulberry's ever growing bag family. Inspired by the brand's iconic Bayswater bag, the Edie is a amalgamation of Bayswater details (postman lock) with the school boy bag styles (think Alexa) that many of us love so much. But what makes this Edie Bag special are these versions that comes not just with your typical leather shoulder strap (there are also regular strap versions), but it's with a embroidered Guitar Strap (detachable). If you observe the Guitar strap closely, it's not any ethnic patterns you see for the design, but 4 rabbits converging around a rose. These cute pattern fully expresses Emma Hill's quirky but fun aesthetics for Spring Summer 2011. I love it!

The Edie Bag in Oak Sparkle Tweed (SGD1590) or the Large Black Heavy Grain leather version (SGD1990) are well suited for all occasions, be it work or play. The proportions for the large Edie is looking fabulous on any girl, jeans and smart casual looks (see the modelling pic above). The Guitar strap just adds that extra zest in personality, not to mention a touch of subtle pink to sweeten any day.

Balenciaga Pre-Spring 2011 Womens Bags And Accessories

It's a riot of colours for Balenciaga's Pre-Spring 2011 Bags and Accessories. From Papier Totes, Giant Day to Folk Messenger Bags in new colours of Mimosa (my favourite yellow!), Vieux Rose (Pale egg pink), Ardoise (Lavender blue), Grenadine (Pink) and classic hues like Noir and Praline, there's something for everyone.

That Mimosa Giant Rose Gold Hardware Triple Tour Bracelet has my name on it already! Balenciaga Singapore will however not be stocking that, but I reserved a regular stud version in Mimosa... I need some yellow for the new season:-) The 'Lego' inspired rings are also refreshing...

As this is the pre-spring collection, the designs are based more on popular and classic styles, except given a new spin with colours. Nothing too surprising. But Balenciaga fans will want all the delectable candy coloured hues! Especially the Grenadine Perforated City Bag with gold studs!

Check out this tri-material (canvas, leather and suede) PS1 Bag from the Proenza Schouler Pre-Spring 2011 collection! Lovely combination with a sense of casualness as compared to the all leather versions. Less heavy on the eye, it's a perfect city companion for any warm sunny days out and about town.
