Sarah Jessica Parker wore a Nina Ricci dress designed by Olivier Theyskens to the pink carpet New York Premiere of Sex and the City. Sarah Jessica Parker was told by Theyskens that no one has ever been photographed in the dress before.It turns out the dress had been worn before. A socialite named Lauren Santo Domingo wore it to the Met Ball last month and she was even accompanied by Theyskens himself! Also, Lindsay Lohan wore the dress in an advertising campaign for Disney several months ago.
"Look, my affection for the dress hasn't changed, but what they did was so short-sighted," Parker told the New York Times. "It's just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again."
Mario Grauso, president of the fashion division at Puig, which owns Nina Ricci, said Domingo was not an A-lister so had not been mentioned to Parker.
