Christmas is coming...

At our house, we stuff rolls of wrapping paper here there and everywhere.  They fall down and unfurl when we open the odd cupboard door.  We forget what we have and where we have put it, and then go out and buy yet more.  With Christmas around the corner, we needed to do something.

I made a simple long drawstring bag.  We can fit about six roles of wrapping paper inside.  I even made a little internal pocket for tape, ribbon, etc.  Our wrapping bag can now be hung on a hook in the back of a closet out of the way, without any of the paper getting crumpled.  Let's hope this does the trick.

I chose to decorate it with a strip of homely quilting patchwork.  I decided against a Christmas theme, since we will put all wrapping paper in this bag, including birthdays, etc.

If you are looking for Christmas ideas, you could easily make a bag like this for Grandma and let the kids decorate it with fabric paint.
