I have observed that Rajo Laurel makes it a point to have a different set of theme in every collection. My favorites among his vast collection are Insecticide , Sci-Fi Africa and now his Androygny collection. He is indeed one of the most celebrated fashion designers here in Manila and having to witness his latest and most personal collection (yet) unfold is a very wonderful experience. According to him, his inspiration was augmented by his youth and his dreams of wearing such style primarily that of Yojhi Yamamoto.
The moment I saw the playful drapes and asymmetrical cuts plus the neutral colors of his latest collection on his blog, I was inspired and got more excited to see them in person. The rain dint' stop us and its all worth the travel.
It makes me feel so happy that I am one of the firm believers of androgyny and its power. Thank you , Rajo!
